Possibly illegitimate

My apologies for reposting a query on the same person, but I have to try this from another angle. I am trying to find the father of Roy Kaighin of Vancouver, BC. Roy insists that he was born 23 November 1891 (Monday) in Ballaugh and that his name was William Kaighin. He can give very little other information as he was adopted by William when William was 60 and died when Roy was young.

Here are some other facts that Roy and his wife have provided me:

He died in Fleetwood, Lancashire about March / April 1964 at age 72

He fought in WWI and was wounded in the arm.

He was married first to a woman named Lily. I believe I've identified her as the Lily Elizabeth Margaret Kaighin (maiden name unknown) who was buried 16 March 1945, German, age 56.

He was married second to Annie Ellen Still about 1948 (probably in IOM). Still was her name from her first marriage (previously married to Tom Still).

Roy was adopted by William and Annie about 1950 and christened in Peel. The family moved to Fleetwood about 1954.

Roy remembers as a child in the late 1950s visiting someone named Aunty Nora in Liverpool, but she may not have been a relation.

Any help at any level will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Greg
