Re: Caine/Young
In Response To: Caine/Young ()

The PR entry for the Caine/Joughin marriage has both of this parish (and also implies both were of full age) - the witnesses were the usual Parish Clark and an Alexander Broom (assuming I transcribed name correctly) of kk german (a name I hadn't seen before - any info/connection welcome)
The Caine/Wattleworth marriage has with consent of JC's guardians which seems to imply both parents dead (witness was James Caine of Peeltown)

The 1745 marriage is not found in the PR - however there are no marriages recorded in German between Nov 1744 and Nov 1745 (there are very few in adjacent years) - either there was a true dearth of marriages at this period or entries were not transcribed or copied ; Interestingly Joney Cain of B'girr married Silvester Clark on 27 [Nov] 1744 and is the last recorded until 17 nov 1745
