Searching for a death/burial record for Sarah Eliza (Allder) MacCurdy (McCurdy).
Sarah m. Daniel MacCurdy Jan. 11, 1816, St. Michael's Cathedral, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Daniel b. Dublin, 1792 joined 25th Reg of Foot, Kings Own Borderers July 1807.
Served many years in West Indies.
Arrived in Quebec aboard the transport Cornwall No 3, June, 1841 with the 74th Reg of Foot from Barbados.
Applied for discharge in 1844, said he was a widower. Can't find where his wife died.
Family story is they 'were from the Isle of Man'. Maybe the Allder family was from the Isle of Man.
Is the name Allder/MacCurdy/McCurdy found in records for Isle of Man?
Comments appreciated.
Thank you.
H.M. McCurdy, Ontario, Canada
