You're quite right. William & Frances (nee KENDAL) in Millom (1881) look more likely.

Your additional information has also raised some issues for me as it means I have both
Mary CORTEEN and
John KINRADE assigned to the wrong parents.

I had John KINRADE s/o Thos & Cath (BOYD) chr 1820
I had Mary CORTEEN d/o Wm & Mary (KERMEEN) chr 1803

It looks like my intuition may have deserted me ! ...Back to the drawing board.
