I have been doing alot of research on the Gelling families in Isle of Man. I just discovered that the Rev. James Gelling is buried in the churchyard in Kirk Germain (Peel). He was vicar of Peel from 1801 to 1838. His grandson, William Edward Gelling, immigrated to Canada in the 1850s and began a long career as a pastor of the Church of England. William was the son of Frederick Lamothe Gelling and Harriet Evans. William is my great-great grandfather and I am trying to find out as much information on the Isle of Man Gellings as I can. If there is anyone who can supply me with information I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you David Tobin
