There is a family called Lovell who run a Guest House in Douglas. Since the gathering in Utah was recent it does not follow that the history of the Lovell family is in the Isle of Man.

One Alexander Lovell a photographer from Cork in Ireland married Esther Brew from the Island and lived in Whitehaven with some of her relatives. Just another example that the name could come from elsewhere.
