I John Killip of Ballakinnag in the parish of Ballaugh being weak and
infirm in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make my last
will and testament in the manner following.
I commend my soul to God and body to Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath to my son John Killip the sum of five shillings as
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my three sons namely Wm , Robt and James the sum
of ten pounds each as legacy the same to be paid by my executrix
hereinafter mentioned to my said three sons when they arrive at the age
of twenty one years respectively
I leave and bequeath to my daugher Mary Killip the sum of one pound as
legacy to be paid as above specified.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane Killip the sum of thirty pounds
as legacy to be paid to her when she arrives at the age of twenty one
years as above
I leave and bequeath to my wife Mary Killip otherwise Corlett the whole
of that part or parcel of intack land that I purchased from John Looney
called the Ellan likewise my right or moiety of that piece of Curragh
land bequeathed to me and my said wife by my late father in law Robert
Corlett. the said lands to be the indisputable right and property of my
said wife and to enjoy and possess the same against the claim challenge
or demand of my heir at law or any other person whatever.
Lastly I leave and bequeath to my said wife the whole of the rest reside
and remainder of my money goods credits dues chattels, and effects of
whatever nature or description hereby nominating constituting and
appointing my said wife whole and sole executrix of this my last will and
testament witness my name this the twenty fourth day of Feburary one

In the name of God Amen
I Mary Killip of Ballakinnag in the parish of Ballaugh widow being weak
and sickly in body but of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding
do make declare and publish this my last will and testament in the
following manner and form.
First I commend my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial.
I give devise and bequeath unto my son John Killip all and singular on
the following condition my right title interest and property whatsoever
in and to that my parcels of intack land situate in the parish of
Ballaugh called and known by the name of Lheanny ly Currie and the Ellan
to have and to hold unto the said John Killip his heirs and assigns the said several parcels of intack land with their appurtenance absolutely
forever commencing from the 12th of Nov after my decease on the
following condition and not otherwise that is to say that at the time of
the said John Killip getting possession of the said lands he is to pay
to his sister Jane Killip the sum of ten pounds which if he refuses to do
then in that case I give grant devise and bequeath unto the said Jane
Killip my daughter and to her heirs and assigns the said several parcels
of intack land with their appurtenances absolutely forever commencing
possession after my decease.
I give grant devise and bequeath unto my daughter Mary wife of Robert
Teare and to her husband Robert Teare and to their heirs and assigns all
and singular on the following conditions my right title interest and
property whatsoever in and to my lands of the quarterland of Knockould in
the parish of Ballaugh to have and to hold unto the said Mary Teare and
Robert Teare and their heirs and assigns the said lands with its
appurtenances absolutely forever commencing from the 12th of November
after my decease on the following conditions and not otherwise that it so
say that at the time of the said Mary Teare and Robt Teare getting
possession of the said lands they are to pay to their sister my daughter
Jane Killip the sum of twenty pounds which if they refuse to do, then in
that case, I give grant devise and bequeath unto her the said Jane Killip
her heirs and assigns the said lands with it appurtenances absolutely for
ever commencing possession after my decease.
I give grant devise and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Killip aforesaid
all and singular my right title interest and property whatsoever in and
to that my intack land situate in the parish of Ballaugh called the
Close Keil to have and to hold unto the said Jane Killip heirs and
assigns the said lands with its appurtenances absolutely forever
commencing after my decease.
And it is to be hereby understood and it is my will and meaning that each
of the aforesaid parties to whom lands left are liable and forth coming
or whatever encumbrance or security or securities may be affecting their
respective lands at the time of my decease.
I leave and bequeath unto my sons namely to William Killip, Robert
Killip, and to James Killip, the sum of one pound each as legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto any person or persons who may be
lawfullyentitled to participate in any part of my goods and effects and
not herein before provided for the sum of two shillings and six pence
each as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute ordain and appoint my daughter Jane Killip
aforesaid whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament and
residuary legatee of all and singular the rest and remainder of my goods
monies, credits, and effects of all descriptions whatsoever. In
testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the 13th day
of June 1851.
