To David Christian: My maiden name is Christian, granddaughter of a Thomas Christian who moved from Durham, North Carolina, to north Florida. One of his sons, my uncle William B. Christian of Jacksonville, Florida, has done some research of the ancestry of the family. I am coming to the UK in late April and early May of this year and plan to visit the Isle of Man, where I had been told Christians still lived. A couple of years ago, I found many old gravestones marked Christian in a little Virginia town named Kent. I can try to retrieve the data (from my cousins) that my uncle William (now deceased) discovered and pass it on to you, if you would be interested. Just let me know, if you will. Many thanks, Terry (Theresa) Christian Blackwell
(my husband is also researching his family, which has led us to a town called Bakewell near Sheffield in the UK. Sheffield, incidentally, was my father's middle name, Samuel Sheffield Christian.)
