Porter's 1889 Directory places three hotels or Inns in Strand Street.

The New Strand Inn, No. 58 - Frank Quinn.

The Globe, No. 60 - James Jones.

The Old Strand Inn, Nos. 70- 72 - Alfred Cain Kelly.

I also remember the Waterloo Hotel run by Walter Howarth.
