Hi Norma. I guess this is just an FYI for you. I am trying to determine if an Elizabeth QUAYLE was the first wife of my ancestor, Evan CORKILL / CORKHILL.
I believe Evan and Elizabeth were married in Liverpool, England, in the 1855 to 1859 timeframe, and started living there at the time of their marriage.
Evan was born in the Lezayre Parish in 1827, one of the oldest of ten children born to John and Esther CORKILL / CORKHILL.
If Evan was born in 1827, then his wife, Elizabeth ____, would have probably been born around the same time, or in the mid-1830's.
I believe that Mrs. Elizabeth CORKILL died in Liverpool in 1873, as their five children all went to Live in the Liverpool Sheltering Homes then, and were "shipped to Canada" in 1874.
