McEvoy (Kippers) Family

My mother was Kay (Kathleen) McEvoy of Devonshire Place, Douglas. She was born in 1922 and died tragically in 1959. Her father George and brother Brian owned and ran a kipper factory at Peel that I believe closed in the 1960's. There was another brother Terry who lived in a house in Regent St.
George had a brother Alf who had a kipper shop close to a holiday camp. His sister Ethel sold kippers from a shop in The Strand.
Kay's best friend, and my godmother, was Joyce Aspinal. Both were wartime nurses. Her father Jimmy Aspinal had a butchers shop on the Strand, Douglas.
We lost touch with them all 40 years ago and attempts to trace any of them failed. I'd be grateful if anyone has any information. Mike Jackson
