Highs and Lows

After many years searching for our Isle of Man relatives we had a break through, and managed to track down a William SPURR b1892 d1976 and Nora SPURR b1889 d1976, children of Emily Clara a monthly Nurse of Mona Street and later Woodbourn Square.

William immigrated to America in 1911 with his cousin Gladys May Watts the husband of A. C. Watts of Iron Mill Michigan. And was followed by Nora shortly afterwards. At some time he moved to Cleveland and married four times

Nora never married but died in Canada, the death details we are still looking for.

With some help from a kind lady in Cleveland we found that William had a son – William S. SPURR who is still living in California age 78. The lady found his address and we sent a copy of the family tree and some photos. After some time we had no reply so this lady give him a call and guess what, after a high point, he is just not interested. What a disappointment.

So near, yet so far. Maybe better luck next time
