Yes this the family, Richard Leopold Cain (1880-1911) was our Great Grandfather, He married Lillian Barton (1877-1914) on 28th October 1901 and lived in Douglas, and they had three children
Frank William Cain (1904-1983)
Annie Evelyn Cain our grandmother (1908-1985) and
Richard Clark Cain.
Richard Leopold remarried Eliza Cottier in 1908, after the death of Lillian. Both Richard Leopold and Eliza Cottier had died by 1914, and we were told the children were brought up by grandparents
Annie used to talk of Richard Clark Cain, and call him her favorite brother, who she lost when he was a young man. We have found a faded postcard from him but we have no idea of the date it was written. But I can find no evidence of him, no dates of birth or dead, he just seems too vanished as a young man. I have tried the war grave commission thinking he may have been killed in the war but he is not there either.
Does any one have any idea where I might find Richard Clark Cain he must have been born about the beginning of 1900’s.
