I know this a long shot, but my grandma was a Shimmin, living in Whitehaven, Cumbria, she passed away. Her name was Mona, her father was Enoch Shimmin,married Mary Jane
I am trying to trace her family, her ancesters had a farm called Trollerby(could have spelt it wrong). I have a Auntie Whinney, who still lives in I.O.M She had a hotel on the front but has now retired.
