According to IGI the children christened to Thomas Criggal and Ann Skinner included Jane and Emily. By 1881 Ann Criggall and these two daughters were still in Bride, Ann is recorded as widowed age 51. This would put her birth nearer to 1830 than 1840.
If you are sure Ann's father is Daniel then a good bet for something unusual is Ann Goldsmith 1829, daughter of Daniel Skinner and Mary Goldsmith before they married.
In a similar vein, Thomas Criggal 1827 could be the son of Thomas Faulder and Catherine Criggal, since he was the only Thomas, son of Thomas, around that period.
