Its a long shot, but does anyone recognize the description of a male Corkill, an adult in the late 1800s/early 1900s (1875 onwards), who had something wrong with his arm bad enough that it effected his appearance? At some stage he would have been in communication either directly or indirectly with Corkells in Penzance, Cornwall. There is small chance (only a very small one!) he might possibly have been a Philip. Am trying to establish the connection between the two families on the IOM and in Penzance around then (and before or after).
Have looked at the obvious sources of info, but they dont help. I think I need help of family memories, hearsay etc!
Any info welcome - thanks.
Alison
