Double entries do happen. I have come across a few in both the Manx and mainland censuses. In one example the individual was lodging and working at two differrent addresses( say half a week at one and half at the other), thus was entered twice. Also grandchildren staying with grandparents have also been recorded by their parents as being at home with them.
