Re: Thomas Henry Teare md. Emily Margaret Caine
In Response To: Re: Caesar John Caine ()

My records show Emily Margaret Caine, daughter of Philip Caine and Anne Callin (chr. 19 Aug 1860) married Thomas Henry Teare, the older brother of my Great Grandfather Joseph Benjamin Teare. Thomas Teare was born about Feb. 1862 in Patrick Parish, married 22 December 1883 in Patrick Parish. His parents were Edward Teare (1836-1901) and Elizabeth Kennaugh (1840-1910).

Children of the couple are:

Elizabeth Ann "Cissie" Teare born 11 Nov 1884 in Foxdale, Patrick Parish and died 13 Nov 1909 in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada the wife of Morris Hastie.

Jeanette Florence Teare born 24 May 1887 in Foxdale, married Alfred Kelly (also from Foxdale) 17 October 1908 in Cobalt , Ontario.

Ambrose Albert Teare, twin brother of Florence, died 28 July 1890 in Michigan, USA.

Phillip Edward Teare born about May 1890 died 30 Aug 1890 in Michigan.

Henry Teare born about 1891 in the USA, probably Michigan

Emily Mildred Teare, born Ishpeming, Marquette County, Michigan about 1894; and

Richard Gordon Teare, born about 1898, died 14 Mar 1902 in Port Erin, Isle of Man.

Thomas Teare was a lead miner in Foxdale mines, Patrick Parish. He appears to be the first of several brothers who left the IOM for Ishpeming, Michigan. It appears his first trip was 1887, making several trips between Ishpeming and the IOM. He was joined in Michigan by his brothers Ambrose and Joseph in the mid 1890s. Thomas returned to the IOM, living in St. John's when settling the Estate of his father in 1901. A monumental inscription in the Rushen parish cemetery states that Thomas died in Michigan December 21, 1901.

Joseph moved from Michigan to Crosby, Crow Wing County, Minnesota.

Ambrose moved to Idaho then to Alberta Canada.

Happy to share further details.
