sometime ago it was remarked that a list of illegitimate births might help some researchers as the IGI indices under Mothers name whereas it seems most went under the father's name - I have prepared an initial list for German - see http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/famhist/pregs/gnillgt.htm - more will be added over next few weeks but any additional info welcome
