Hi Lawrence - I wonder, I am a bit curious about a Corkill family who, in the 1881 census, are in Abbey Lands, Lonan. Thomas (lead miner) is head of household with twin brothers John (blacksmith) and William (lead miner). Niece Ann Dobsin lives with them as house keeper. There are similarities here with my own Corkills in Cornwall. Is this Abbey Lands family yours by any chance?
