Has anyone a connection to the Quine family who on 1881 census lived in Brundel Road Lonan?
Family were Thomas Quine (48) a led miner and his wide Esther (48)(maiden name unknown)
Children were: John (15)Frances (10)William (9) Robert (8) Alfred (7) Frederick (6) Rebecca(4) and Walter (4).
My interest is in Frederick who in 1906 married Annie Craig (nee Palmer), my grandfather's sister; his occupation was a Carter. At some point they ran the Seaforth House Hotel on Loch Promenade Douglas and they were still there in 1928 when Annie died.
Fred was in Liverpool the following year in a house he called "Brundell" after the road where he lived in Lonan with his parents. He moved on again and he died in 1949 in Neston on the Wirral but is buried with his wife in Douglas cemetery. Would like to fill in the missing years if possible.
