Re: Corran/Grandin/Fayle etc of Braddan & surround

I received some further information today (thank you Peter) on the following which updates part of the previous posting:

SARAH GRANDIN, b. 6 September 1829, Braddan, Isle of Man; m. ROBERT CORLETT, 9 April 1853, Braddan Isle of Man is the 6th child (that I am aware of) of Jane CORRAN & Stephen John GRANDIN.

Apparently Sarah Grandin & Robert Corlett had one known child, Catherine Jane CORLETT bap. 10 January 1858, St Matthews, Douglas. Her father Robert was the Grocer of Douglas.

Question 1:

What happened to Catherine Jane Corlett? Did she marry and have children? There are 2 possibles in the IGI:

a) Catherine Corlett who married John CRELLIN in 1877 at St Barnabas, Douglas.

b) Catherine Corlett who married William GELLING in 1881 at Braddan.

Would welcome any information on Catherine and possible descendants.

Question 2:

Who are the parents of Robert CORLETT who married Sarah Grandin? I have him as possibly the son of Robert Corlett & Jane OATES, bp. 1827 Braddan. Can anyone corroborate this parentage pls or if they are not his parents, then which Robert Corlett was the one who married Sarah?

Thank you in advance.

Kindly
Elizabeth
