Hi Marge,
Hope my surname didn't raise your hopes, I don't think our lines cross, but as I too am looking at Manx Christians who finished up in Toxteth......
I will send details in due course but mine are proving difficult to get back before 1868 as I am not sure of my Christian line (ex Peel) and am hoping that by tracing them all I might get some leads.
I thought that I could help flesh out the 1871 details from Donna. The address is 23 Wellington Street, and there appear to be two other Christians there as well. 6 in all. William aged 9 and a daughter aged 11, I cannot read her name properly could be Maria J......
James is a labourer, Esther is a Greengrocer. 16 year old Joseph is a sailor and the other children are scholars.
I have posted the page on my website at "http://rareplants.co.uk/1871%20douglas%20christians.jpg" if you, or anyone, wants to see it. I will leave it there for a week or so. ( Its about 500K if anyone is on dial-up).
Nice to be in touch and hope this helps
Paul
