Re: Early 1700s - illegitimate children

I'm finding it very difficult to determine from only the IGI whether some children are illegitimate or not. So I have a question. If the father died prior to the birth or christening of the child, would the father's name have been in the PR? (Incedentally, this very situation happened with my grandfather and father). Also, if the mother died during childbirth, would that cause her name to be left off the PR? Here are some candidates that may be illegitimate, but without looking at the PRs, I can't know for sure. Does anyone have anything that might indicate whether they are? Thank you and Aloha.
