Corletts in Customs 1850's

I read an article in Family Tree Magazine which gave a contact to trace ancestors who were customs officers. I requested information about my great-great grandfather, Thomas Corlett. Not finding him, I was sent information on two other Corletts. If you have these ancestors, I will pass on the information:

1845: J. Corlett, tidewaiter. Port: IOM. Salary on retirement £59.9.6d. Age on retirement 69, period of service 35 years, cause of retirement - age and infirmity, salary on retirement £38. Superannuation allowances ceased in 1858, cause, death 19 May 1858. Annual amount £38.

Superannuation allowances (temporary) granted in year ended 5 Jan 1851. Port IOM. E. Corlett, comptroller, salary on retirement £166.14.2d. Age on retirement 47, period of service 29 years. Cause of retirement - congestion of the liver. Allowance granted £93. There is a similar entry for port of London for year ended 31.Dec.1853. Age now 48. Finally retired in 1853.

I hope this helps someone!
