true but this topic has been raised some time ago on another board - there was some traditional Manx furniture (eg see the book that accompanied an exhibition in Museum (Manx traditional furniture I think was title) - most of these were reasonably rustic in nature and purpose - the mass produced 3-legged tables acquired name Manx from the 3-legs though undoubtedly a few would have been constructed on Island.
Wood for boats was specially imported - there was a tax on such wood but the Manx tax was lower than England thus encouraging a 19th C boom in boatbuilding (c.1850-1870) - prior to 19th century the boat building was for local trade and even here the Irish boats were chosen for speed in smuggling trade around mid 18th C.
