Re: Harriet Kewley, correction
In Response To: Re: Harriet Kewley, correction ()

Thank you Nigel. I didn't have that MI info, nor did I know that Robert K was a cooper. Did it give ages? As far as I know, there are no wills for Robert or Isabella, nor for Robert's son Charles & Judith. All of them were very old, with all but Judith well into their 80s.

Re Harriet, we seem to have wandered away from her here but it looks like she's in the same building at Factory Lane Douglas in 1841 as my family of Kewley's, which could be significant.

I don't know if this has any connection, but in 1841 in Liverpool at #12 & 13 Wentworth Court, Pellow St by Coperas Hill Russell St (reel 560) we find [Charles and Judith's daughter] Catharine Gelling 30 with my g-g-grandfather William Gelling, shoemaker, and their first 3 kids. In the same house are James Kewley 20 shoemaker and John Kewley 25 shoemaker, both "N". I don't know who they are. This John can't be Catharine's [elder] brother named John because he's listed in 1841 at Factory Lane Douglas age 33, shoemaker with his family. There is a younger brother James, who was 26 or 27 in 1841 who also was a shoemaker and who married in Liverpool in 1844, so I can't totally discount him. But I wonder if John and James are cousins of some kind? I throw this in, in case it is useful.
