There are two occurrences of Haskins as a middle name in the La Mothe family as far as I know.
Claude Haskins La Mothe's aunt Catherine Rose La Mothe had a son William Spencer who had a son called Henry Haskins Spencer.
Unfortunately I have no idea about where the connection may be.
