i am looking for the same information as you me being a direct descendant of Robert Looney 6th great grandson i have a copy of my family tree my couison put together from 2 years of research from the internet, librarys, and family his research shows Robert Looney born in Maughold Parish Isle Of Man and died September 14 1769 Botetourt Co. Va. It also shows He was married To Elizabeth In 1720 On the Isle of Man There Is no Record of Robert and Elizabeth in America Before 1734 when their son Peter was born In Philadelpia Pa.
