Hi
This looks like a good place to find Kermode researchers.
I have a photograph titled "Fentimans & Kermodes, Isle of Man, 1898". It shows a group of eleven young people, five of whom I know to be various of my great-aunts and -uncles, aged between 16 and 23. There are six others, who are presumably Kermodes; two men and four women. It is taken against a fairly distinctive stone wall, with a few large square blocks set into a wall built of smaller stones.
My G grandfather was Methodist minister in Castletown, IOM, 1896-99, and the photo was presumably taken then. The Kermodes might be from Castletown or Rushen, perhaps.
Anyone know these Kermodes, or can identify the location? Happy to e-mail copies of the photo to anyone with an interest.
