Looking for information on the death of William Henry Quayle (born approx 1842 - parents may be John and Jane Quayle, Ballugh, I.O.M.) - husband of Ann/e Tomlinson, born Mosspor, Cheshire, approx 1844, married William 29 August 1863, Kirk Michael, I.O.M.
Ann/e (27) and William(28) appear on 1871 census for Lonan district 4 schedule 143 with three children, Elizabeth Jane, age 5, Philip, 2 and Jessie, 9 months. By 1881 Ann/e and the children have moved to Barrow in Furness, Lancashire and on the 1881 census all are shown as working in the local Jute factory with Jessie a mere 10 years old. By 1891 Ann/e owns a boarding house and she and Elizabeth are the only Quayle's at the address, Jessie is married - Philip has left home. I was told that Ann/e and the children left the Isle of Man following the death of William Henry in a mining accident at Laxey?? - there is a burial for a William Quayle on Brian Lawson's webiste-aged 29, Lonan, 10 March 1872 which would be a good match age wise (is this the date of the death or the burial?). I have obtained the marriage certificate (1892) for my great grandparents Elizabeth Jane Quayle (daughter of William Henry and Ann/e Tomlinson) and Richard Hayes (one of Ann/e's lodgers on 1891 census) although Richard describes his father (Abraham) as deceased Eliabeth Jane's father (William Henry) is just described as an Iron Miner, is the William Quayle buried in Lonan cemetry Elizabeth Jane's father (Ann/e's husband)? and why didn't Elizabeth Jane declare him deceased on her marriage certificate?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
