Re: MARY or ISABELLA?
In Response To: MARY or ISABELLA? ()

The will of John Clague mentions the names William Clague, Isabella Kennish and Thomas Mylrea. They are all included in the monumental inscriptions for Lonan , old church.- see Manx Notebook.
Their base was Ballakilley.
The Lonan burials show John to be 71 on death which puts him C 1760 at birth. William C1753 and Isabella C1763 all the children of William and Alice ( Craine ?).
Thomas Mylrea was the son of Elizabeth another daughter of William and Alice.
The only Mary I can find for 1785 was christened in Lezayre and this was the year after Alice died.
Where does your Mary come From?
Does this info. fit in with your research?
