"In the Church" in 1901 census

In the 1901 census, I have a William Clague in the parish of Patrick. His address is given as “In the Church” and I wonder if this has any significance. He is shown there as a widower with children Margaret (aged 19) and Thomas (aged 11) and Lydia Elizabeth Quayle, cousin (aged 9 months).

Address before his little family unit are Knockaloe Beg and Knockaloe Moar (foprgive spellings) - subsequently the addresses are “In the Church”, “In the Church” (district) and then “Parochial School”.

Can anyone shed any light on the possible significance of “in the church” please, was this likely to have been a job, a sign of poverty, a set of church cottages perhaps?

Any help would be appreciated
