An Aunt of mine in Devon has been asked by the grandson of a Lucie (spelt as stated) ELLIS to see if we can find out any information about her.
This lady was thought to have been born about 3 or 4 September 1904. The grandson thought she had been born in Russia but later learnt it was the Isle of Man, so the connection is probably Rushen.
It is possible (but not proven) that she may have been illigitimate and her father (unknown at this time) was possibly a Farmer.
She is thought to have worked in Collinson's Cafe, Douglas (possibly spelt differently).
Not a lot to go on - but here's hoping!
I have checked IGI and Free BMD etc without success.
Any information will be gratefully received and passed on to the grandson.
Many thanks
Tony
