Joan, unfortunately that early, the father's name wasn't listed. That really didn't happen much before 1850 unless bride or groom was under age and permission had to be given.
I've seen some old marriage records that seemed to be a dowery sort of thing that told at least father's name--no idea what these records are called.
Your best bet in establishing parentage is vis the study of wills--often a tedious process. Unless you happen on to a fellow researcher!
