Can anyone tell me for certain whether the Isle of Man is considered IRISH, BRITISH, or MANX. I am dealing with numerous people who are telling me the Isle of Man is Irish. I'm telling them "not so." Does someone know of an accessible reference here in the U.S. that would definitively answer the question? Even my relatives are telling me our Killey ancestry is Irish, even though they came from the Isle of Man. (Thomas Killey, b. 1815 Lezayre, IoM, in Ontario, Canada by 1841).
