Hi
I am researching my family tree, and have stumbled on a line that originates in the Isle of Man, which has thrown me totally, as I have no idea how to go about researching in this area!
The names I am tracing are Lewin and Kinrade, as a James Lewin my ggg grandfather married Sarah Kinrade on 29 October 1840 in Saint Peter Church Street, Liverpool, Lancashire. I have no birth date for James, He is listed as a mariner on the 1851 census, but not given an age. His father, according to the marriage entry, was John Lewin.
Sarah Kinrade was born c 1815 on the Isle of Man according to the 1851 census of Liverpool, and her father is listed as John Kinrade according to their marriage entry.
I was wondering whether anyone had any information relating to these lines or could point me in the right direction with regards to any records that are in existance?
Thanks so much
