I have traced my family's Manx roots to the "Crebbin" family of the Isle of Man.
John Crebbin b. 1820's, a native of the Isle of Man, first moved to Liverpool, Eng. As a boy. Then, in 1851 he moved from Liverpool to New Orleans, La. U.S.A. In New Orleans he was engaged in the shipwright business repairing vessels.
My father, who is now departed, was very proud of his Manx heritage and spoke of it often. I am trying to find what area of the island the Crebbin family is from, as I am planning a visit and would like to see it very much, as well as, learn more about this part of my family tree.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Margie Kelley
