I am pleased the postings have proven beneficial to some.. they were in no way exhaustive and just a list of Manx surnames which I typed in to see the demographic spread. I didn't do Kelly and variants purely for the reason of the many from Ireland it would have involved and thus caused confusion.

Several on the lists posted were born in IOM.........you just have check each one carefully. However, born in IOM or not, it is more than likely that those born elsewhere (in parts of OZ, NZ and even South Africa and England) are Manx descendants and thus of possible interest to those researching the various names, especially one-name researchers.
