In tracing the Godfrey Tate line back I have come across possible errors (deciphering?) in the wive's names. e.g. the IGI records that he married an Ann Evison in 1824, children born to that couple subsequently from 1826, yet there are two other entries - Godfrey Tate/Ann Oison, parents of Isabella; and Godfrey Tate/Ann Wilson, parents of James. Is anyone able to confirm whether these are in fact errors in deciphering the maiden name of the wife, and that in fact both should be "Evison"?
