William EDWARDS

Seeking information that may be related or anyone related to My Great Grandfather William EDWARDS born on the I.O.M. Christening date 20 Feb 1859
Parents may have been John EDWARDS and Jane KAIGHIN #LDS Family Search.

William was supposed to have had a younger brother who was engaged to a Louisa Maude or Maude Louisa WOOD. She may have been born on I.O.M. or Liverpool. However due to some conflict Miss WOOD went off and married William instead. However a marriage certificate was not found during a search of the old St Catherines Records about 1980. William was a merchant and owned for a period a coffee plantation in a partnership with a Portuguese from about 1888+ and traveled often to and from Sth America. He died in Sussex about 1919-20. He had 8 children to Louisa Maude or M.L. They were Helen BODLEY (nee EDWARDS), born 1893 in Manchester, died 1954 in New Zealand (my Grandmother). Walter, killed in action WW1 aged about 21, Arthur who became a criminal lawyer in Sussex, Tim who also served during WW1. He became a silvermine auditor in Sth America, Cyril, Dorothy Margaret (Peg) spinister died 1980 Worthing, Sussex. Winifred who married twice and Robert.
Any help would be greatly appreciated in regards to William and his parents and siblings.

Thank you from
Wendy Parker in New Zealand
