Ann Skillicorn b circa 1820

I am trying to discover what happened to an Ann Skillicorn who was born in circa 1820 in the Isle of Man. I have a christening record for Ann from St Matthews Church Douglas on 9th September 1821. Ann's parents were Edward Skillicorn and Jane Cannel (married at Onchan in 1822).

Ann went on to marry a John Proctor at Bradden Church in 1840. Ann and John definitely had five children on the IOM (John, Joseph, Marie Louisa, Sara Ann & Christian Ann - I have christening records for all of these). Ann & John & family lived in Douglas at the time of 1851 census, but thereafter Ann disappears (can find no death record either in IOM or elsewhere). I do know that by 1860 John Proctor (Ann's husband) was living in Liverpool but their is no trace of Ann. I know that John Proctor during the 1850's had three other children (William, Ruth & Eleanor) but we have not been able to establish whether Ann was their mother or not. However by 1874 John Proctor had remarried in Liverpool.

Can anyone throw any light on this situation.

Many thanks
