Have a look at the Brew Website at brew.clients.ch [no www].
The 1851 census index has Margaret aged 63, blacksmith's widow, born Kk Michael, living at 12 Hanover St Douglas with dau. Elizabeth aged 25, unm., a bonnet maker, & son Thomas aged 10 [a transcribing error for aged 20?], unm., brass founder. Martha is down the road at no.7.
It is quite easy to trace this family through all the census indexes on this website - use 'Find' under Edit on your computer for 'Hanover', or search the Douglas entries.
Then look at the ORIGINAL censuses on film.
In 1841 they appear to be at Dist.4 p.20 in Douglas with William aged 55 [adult ages rounded to nearest 5] with Margaret aged 50, and the children [Thomas aged 8].
In 1861 - searching for Hanover - Margaret aged 73 is at 10 1/2 Hanover St & Thomas and his family at no.10 - and so-on.
As William died between 1841 and the 1851 census, it is possible that the 1851 Wm Brew Braddan will Epis 39 film no.0106451 [Brian Lawson's website] is his.
- And wills often name brothers, sisters or other relatives as well as wife and family [with married names].
