My cousins and I are researching our great grandmother Gretje (Grace) MEINTS from Strackholt, Ostfriesland, Germany. She came to the United States in the late 1800's with her parents Heye Janssen MEINTS b. 7-17-1842, and Antje Amanda Geska SCHUSTER b. 7-17-1843, and her 8 brothers and sisters (Mareka, John, Grace, Fred, John Heye, Heye, Menne Heye, and Brune). They first settled in the Golden, Illinois area and later in the Gage County, Nebraska area. We would like to know more about the family they left behind in Strackholt. Some of her family names include MEINTS, SCHUSTER, LUBINUS, LUDECKE, ZIMMERMAN, MENNEN, FRERICHS. Thank you everyone for any help you might be able to give us.
