Attached to the 1936 will of Jemima CORKILL [first marriage to Thomas GELLING, 2nd marriage to John James LEWIN] are details of the petition of the business partner of Jemima's son Thomas Edward GELLING 1879-1940, of 'Bell & Gelling', tailors, clothiers, & outfitters at 59 Victoria St. Douglas.
Named in Jemima's will were her daughter Jemima Ann [Annie] KELLY nee LEWIN of 524 Speer St., Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, USA, and her granddaughter Mona KELLY, of the same address.
Witnesses called following the petition included Frederick GELLING who said that Thomas Edward Gelling's father Thomas had only one brother Joseph Gelling, and no sisters. Joseph predeceased Thomas, leaving four children of whom Frederick was one. The other three were John Joseph GELLING who was residing in the USA, Frank Winder GELLING, a bachelor, had died in the USA, and the daughter Emma Frances WALKER, a widow, was in Keighley, Yorks [in 1940].
