Andrew Killip (Castletown, around 1781-1850)

Can you help? I am looking for the ancestors of Andrew Killip, born about 1781 and resided in Castletown in 1840s.

I am trying to help a number of American and Canadian descendants of Boyer and Thomas Killip (emigrated in 1860s) who were the sons of William Killip and Eleanor Bridson and Grandsons of Andrew Killip, aged 60 in the 1841 census, and trying to link them up with my family tree - my ancestors were mainly in Marown and German at that time.

Andrew married a Mary McComb from County Antrim and it may be possible that he was part of the Peel fishing fleet, met her in Ireland and brought her back to the island - but there are an infinite number of other possibilities!

Any information gratefully received.

Ian
