As always when you are writing freehand you miss out some important information
my mother's maiden name was Phyllis Kneen and her sister Marjory Kneen had two sons David and John. David sadly died recently.I have all the marriage and death certificates but not to hand will post them when I have them to hand together with written info. Patrick Arthur Kneen was a Master Mariner with the Anchor Brocklebank Line sailing out of Liverpool to the Far East. During the Second World War he served with the Royal India Navy on shore having lost the ability to hear during an accidental firing of a ship's gun. With a friend or friends he contributed to the charting of the esturies from India to Vladivostok. I understand that some of the charts held by the controller of charts still bear their names. He was a great notetaker and diarist I have some of his records which are currenlty being catalogued.
