Hi fellow searchers, I am trying to trace my Copeland roots, I know that my grandfather Robert Edward Copeland married a manx woman from the Isle of Man Mary Ann Callister and knew that his family was living there for some time around the 1920s and was curious as to why they chose the island. On doing an IGI search through FamilySearch found that there were Copelands on the island as long ago as 1800. As yet I have been unable to get a direct link. Is there anyone out there who has any information in connection with the Copeland's and the Isle of Man I would be most interested.
