In Response To: Christian/Gell/Keggin ()

I recently found your posting of Jan 8. Sorry for the delay, I had put your
message to one side and only found it today. I am interested in the
Christians of Rushen. If I find something I will let you know.
Emma Keggin was christened at St. Marks Church IOM July 10 1846.
Per IGI her likely parents were William Keggin and Elizabeth Cannell, who
married in Malew on May 26 1833. In the 1851 Census there is the following
Keggin household in Malew: Charles aged 17, Elizabeth aged 44, Emily(Emma?)
aged 4, Samuel aged 2, William aged 47 and William aged 14. The family does
not appear in the 1861 Census, but in 1871 there is An Elizbeth Keggin aged
62 living (and born) in Malew with William aged 64 (also born in Malew) with
William aged 7, born in England.
Good luck
Bruce Ingram
