Does this "ring a bell" for anyone researching the Quayles?
I recently read an article regarding a nurse who kept an autograph book which she passed amongst the wounded soldiers she was nursing (Red Cross Hospital, Wymondham, Norfolk and East Suffolk Ipswich Hospital and this was an entry written in her book. She states a strange but sarcastic message from T A Quayle, 20th KLR who writes - "If your face want's to smile, let it, if it doesn't, make it. Bogey, Bogey" and he then adds - "I came in loving embrace with the Bosche with bad results 16 February 1917"
